de la Parte & Gilbert Lawyers Speak at Environmental Permitting School
Edward P. de la Parte and Nicolas Porter were presenters at the Florida Chamber of Commerce 29th Annual Environmental Permitting Summer School held in Orlando, FL on July 8-10, 2015. The Environmental Permitting School is the Florida Chamber's largest short course providing environmental education to the approximately 800 environmental professionals who attend each year.
Ed led an advanced discussion regarding the challenges and issues in meeting future water demands in and around Florida. He is a Board Certified State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice Lawyer and concentrates his practice in the areas of Water Law, Environmental Law, and Land Use. Nick discussed the regulatory, planning and water supply development programs of Florida's five water management districts and specifically presented on North Florida water resources and planning issues. Nick is a shareholder with the firm and focuses his practice on environmental and administrative law issues, including complex environmental litigation throughout the state. de la Parte & Gilbert Partners with Water for People for Fundraising Event
The American Water Works Association held its Wine for Us fundraiser on August 6, 2015 at the Orlando Science Center. de la Parte & Gilbert was proud to help sponsor the night of music, wine tasting and silent auctions. The event is held annually to benefit Water for People.
Since its inception in 1991, Water for People has developed a model of community involvement, local participation and training to implement culturally-sensitive and technically-sustainable solutions to the water and sanitation needs in communities around the world.
