Richard A. Gilbert currently serves on Miami University’s (Ohio) Pre-Law Alumni Advisory Committee, and he has been elected as Chair of the Pre-Law Program for 2012. He mentors pre-law students, provides them with insight as to their undergraduate work, applications to law school, and the transition from undergraduate to law school.
Richard A. Gilbert also serves as a member of Bay Area Legal Services’ Development Council. Bay Area Legal Services is a nonprofit, public interest law firm that provides civil legal assistance to low-income residents in the Tampa Bay region.
Edward P. de la Parte, Jr. (Environmental Litigation), Richard A. Gilbert (General Litigation), David M. Caldevilla (Appellate) and Vivian Arenas-Battles (Eminent Domain) were once again named as “Super Lawyers” in the 2011 issue of Florida Super Lawyers magazine. Daniel J. McBreen (Business Litigation) and Kristin Y. Melton (Environmental Litigation and Administrative Law) have also been selected again to the Super Lawyers magazine’s Rising Stars list. Nicolas Q. Porter (Environmental Litigation and Administrative Law) is a new addition to the Super Lawyers magazine’s Rising Stars list in 2011.
Attorneys Richard A. Gilbert and Edward P. de la Parte, Jr. were recently selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®. The Best Lawyers list is compiled after an exhaustive peer-review survey in which thousands of the top lawyers in the United States confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
Richard A. Gilbert, David M. Caldevilla and Vivian Arenas-Battles have been named to Florida Trend’s Legal Elite for 2011. Florida Trend’s Legal Elite recognizes the top tier of attorneys as chosen by their peers. These lawyers have each exemplified a standard of excellence in their profession.
Patrick J. McNamara has been elected Vice Chair of Prevent Blindness Florida for the 2011-2012 Term.
Michael R. Bray has been selected to join the Tampa Connection Class of 2012. Tampa Connection is an all-volunteer, nonprofit leadership program that prepares mid-level professionals for active volunteerism and leadership in the Tampa Bay community.
