de la Parte & Gilbert Sponsors "Under African Skies"
On Friday, November 15, OneCityMinistries.org (OCM) hosted Under African Skies at Tampa's
Museum of Science and Industry. The special event was held to benefit the children and families of
Uganda and to support Uganda's economic development.
de la Parte & Gilbert, PA was a proud corporate sponsor of the event but many of the firm's
employees also attended and individually support the OCM mission, which is: To bring an end
to poverty and human suffering by initiating innovative practices which bring about social
transformation, sustainable economic empowerment and lasting self-sufficiency.
The evening Under African Skies was highlighted with inspiring messages from the mission
field and entertainment provided by Dundu Dolean, an African dance troupe. Attendees also
had the opportunity to shop at a fair-trade marketplace featuring one of a kind items made
by East African artisans employed through OCM’s Africa TrAID program. For more information,

Nowak Appointed to Board of Florida Justice Association's Young Lawyers Section
Associate attorney Eric Nowak has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Section of the
Florida Justice Association (FJA). Members of the Young Lawyers Section are dedicated to laying groundwork that
will secure Florida's civil justice system and the rights of Florida citizens and consumers.
Eric graduated from New College of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received his J.D., cum
laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. He joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2009
